We see our monthly investment update as a unique way to help promote art and design talent, and this year is no exception.
This year our Sustainable Design theme will showcase innovative ideas in the fields of design and technology. In keeping with previous themes, we feature emerging talent alongside practitioners already leading the way in their field.
The Sustainable Design series highlights inspiring eco-friendly design projects, as well as innovative design ideas that are currently under development. Some are everyday products that are sensitively designed to reduce negative impact on the environment. Others are meaningful innovations aimed at raising awareness and promoting change.
As a Dutch-owned investment company based in Zurich, the series focusses on projects from the Netherlands and Switzerland. In terms of Sustainable Design, both are forward-thinking countries with a wealth of interesting projects to explore.
We launch the series with NewspaperWood, a sustainable material made from recycled newspaper which was developed in the Netherlands by Mieke Meijer and design label Vij5. Old newspaper is not a material one would normally associate with a supercar, but as you will see in our January newsletter, the Peugeot Onyx concept car certainly brings ‘upcycling’ into the 21st century.
For further information, we publish a full background article on each featured design here on our Investment Insights pages.
